Imagine for a moment that you will be a fourteen-year old son and participate in the Ibo tribe in Nigeria, Africa. Your father is a yam farmer and holds an important tribal location in your family. Your mom is among five wives to your dad, all of which treat him with value and provide his every need. You are content with your life as well as your future appears promising. The days consist of aiding your father in farming his crops and learning the culture and traditions of your tribe. After that, suddenly, the Europeans arrive and almost everything starts to break apart. At first they seem kind and only desire to help individuals in need and share their particular religion. Overtime, however , they will strip you of all your beliefs and make you swap out your ways. They will force their very own religion of Christianity for you and a few of your older siblings convert instantly. Your daddy is mad and disowns them strong them to locate a new residence. Your family is definitely torn a part as you watch and can bum about it. Then, the Europeans bring in their " hidden weapon” and commence killing persons. They make a couple of laws and if a villager breaks these people they blast or hold them. All around you everything is in uproar and complete chaos. You feel as if there is little worth living intended for because few things are as it used to be.

This is the standard situation of a young youngster whose group was penetrated by Western Imperialists.
